About
Main Street Pineville
Main Street Pineville started in 2009. It is one of 24 such communities in the state of Kentucky and another 2,000 across the United States!
Our goal is to make Downtown Pineville an inviting and beautiful downtown that welcomes both residents and visitors. We offer diverse attractions that include a variety of entertainment, adventure, and history. People will gather at the restaurants, shops, and events around the Historic Courthouse Square District. Our downtown will be the place where we preserve and honor our heritage while embracing our future. We want you to Picture Yourself in Pineville! Come visit!
Main Street Pineville is an organization formed by the City of Pineville to revitalize downtown. The organization operates under the auspices of the City of Pineville with direction from the Kentucky Heritage Council and the Kentucky Main Street Office.
The Mayor of Pineville appoints residents and business owners to sit on the Main Street Board. The Main Street Board members are working members who attend meetings and work toward the goals of the organization.
Four sub-committees are open to anyone interested in being a part of the organization (Organization, Design, Economic Restructuring, and Promotions).
The Executive Directors of Main Street Pineville oversees the day-to-day operations of the organization and reports directly to the Mayor and the Board. The Executive Directors are also responsible for keeping the organization in compliance with the state program.
